Well, we've seen the controller, but no official announcement of the actual new Nintendo console - only a name. Dubbed Wii U, the new console can be seen in one of Nintendo's E3 trailers for the product. Hit the jump to see what the first glimpse at the console.
Depending on how you look at it, the similarities to the original Wii aren't surprising. Nintendo is probably trying to maintain the comfortability they built up by making Wii U's predecessor, the Wii, so unassuming and approachable, even Apple-like.
